Parents reject 20-year-old daughter's plea to adopt a cat, but then allow her 17-year-old sister to keep one instead: ‘I've been wanting [one] for years’

Feline parents, this is going to cut deep…

Did you always have cats? Growing up, were your parents pro-pet in the house? Or, did you have to beg and beg until they finally cracked and said yes, or cursed you and said no? I grew up in a dog household, so getting a cat was off the table. Now, at 24 years old, I have my perfect tuxedo cat who's purrs lull me to sleep.

When you're living under your parents' roof, they call the shots. If you grew up with a golden child sibling, you know what that means: They get what they want, and you get what you get and don't get upset. The 20-year-old in this next story explains that she had been begging her parents for a cat, and now that one has fallen into the family's lap, it belongs to her younger sister instead.
